Gassing -
The generation of a gaseous product at one or both electrodes as a result of the electrochemical action. In Lead Acid batteries gassing produces hydrogen and oxygen.
Gel cell -
A battery which uses gelled electrolyte, an aqueous electrolyte that has been fixed by the addition of a gelling agent.
